Today, Congressman Conaway voted in favor of H.R. 5092 – The “Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (BATFE) Modernization and Reform Act of 2006”. Today the House Armed Services Committee marked up the Military Commission Act of 2006. A bill that would authorize military commissions for trial of alien terrorists, amends War Crimes Act to clarify application of Common Article 3 of the Geneva Conventions and three sections clarifying or amending the Detainee Treatment Act of 2005.
